If I could pray for something it would be to pray that I am wrong about the conclusions in this essay. That Fukushima never happened; that the recent EPA data from their Beta radiation detection stations is wrong, or radiation is not bad for our health and will not kill or hurt anyone, as many seem to believe. After all the nuclear industry is safe even though accidents do happen regularly.

All the nuclear waste that is piling up at every nuclear reactor that they never discovered what to do with is going to eventually kill off most of life on our planet but who cares since we have managed a faster way (Fukushima) to do ourselves in. Many believe that low levels of radiation are actually good for your health and they use that belief to lighten the load of the nuclear industry, which is proving to be a formidable death machine.

The conclusions in this essay are devastating to our sense of humanity. Yesterday’s article told us to expect a whole range of radiation illnesses from the increasing radiation levels in North America. It exposed a great cruelty perpetuated on at least 300 million people. Seventy years ago the Nazis lined men, women and children up and herded them into gas chambers to expose them to poisonous gas to kill them en mass.

These past months the American government purposely let their citizens be exposed to levels of radiation which promises slow poisoning. Though there was no way to make the radiation disappear precautions and warnings could have been given. Someone made a decision to keep the public in the dark so parents could not keep their kids indoors and take other precautions to minimize exposure.

It is shattering to meditate on what is happening. Without shame or fear of reprisal, the government and media have ganged up on the public to deceive them and forced them to expose their children to imminent danger that could, in part, have been avoided. They were scaring the wits out of everyone with Ebola when radiation was the real threat.

They have been scaring the public with global warming (United Nations now says never existed) when severe cold and extended winter is here with us instead. It is not warming nor Ebola that is threatening the world but cold and massive amounts of radiation that is striking hard at the young and old and everyone in between.

Killing the Children in Japan

Katsutaka Idogawa, former mayor of a town near the disabled Fukushima nuclear plant, told RT News that in his country radiation contamination is affecting Japan’s greatest treasure – its children. Compared with Chernobyl, radiation levels around Fukushima “are four times higher.”

According to Idogawa, there are about two million people residing in the prefecture who are reporting “all sorts of medical issues,” but the government insists these conditions are unrelated to the Fukushima accident. Idogawa wants their denial in writing.

“They believe what the government says, while in reality radiation is still there. This is killing children. They die of heart conditions, asthma, leukemia, thyroiditis… Lots of kids are extremely exhausted after school; others are simply unable to attend PE classes. But the authorities still hide the truth from us, and I don’t know why. Don’t they have children of their own? It hurts so much to know they can’t protect our children.”

“They say Fukushima Prefecture is safe, and that’s why nobody’s working to evacuate children, move them elsewhere. We’re not even allowed to discuss this.” It is the same everywhere from the official medical world. Radiation travels quickly and easily in the winds and comes down on the rains. The International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) clearly are not buying the optimistic assurances of the United Nations that there is nothing to worry about with nuclear radiation and exposure to it.

As truth about Fukushima radiation emerges, Japanese authorities struggle to maintain cover-up

[NaturalNews] The cat is out of the bag, as more evidence continues to emerge proving that clean-up workers at the stricken Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power facility in Japan deliberately covered up high radiation readings at the order of their superiors. And as more people become aware of this disturbing fact, Japanese authorities are trying to maintain the facade that the cover-up was an isolated incident, and that there was not a larger conspiracy to hide legitimate radiation readings from the public.

The Japanese news source Asahi Shimbun (AS) reports that a senior official working for Build-Up, a subcontractor hired during the Fukushima clean-up efforts, has admitted to instructing his workers to wear lead coverings over their dosimeters in order to shield accurate radiation readings. Dosimeters measure an individual’s exposure to radiation, and indicate when it is no longer safe to be in the presence of a radiation source.

Recordings uncovered from a December 2 conversation between the official and his employees reveals that he coaxed them to use the lead coverings by claiming that he had used them many times before without issue. He also apparently told them that they would have to use them in future clean-up efforts as well, and implied that they should get used to using them now.

According to AS, the senior official also came up with an alibi that the workers could use to explain the coverings, should anyone inquire about the unusual presence of tape on their torn radiation protection suits. All the bases were covered, in other words, which was enough to convince four of the workers to go along with the plan.

Senior official’s confession makes no sense, appears to be even more cover-up

But now that the media has blown the lid off the story, the senior official in question is now claiming that the incident was isolated, and that he came up with it himself on the fly in order to protect him and his team from radiation. What? Even though this explanation makes absolutely no sense, as dosimeters cover up radiation readings, not the radiation itself, this is the story he is now telling, and the mainstream media appears to be buying it.

When asked about this obviously contradictory statement, the senior official followed up his answer with another nonsensical one about how his workers were new at the job, and how he thought that telling them to wear lead coverings over the only thing that would have alerted them to dangerous levels of radiation would somehow quell their fears. Again, this explanation makes no sense, and appears to point to a cover-up as to who really instructed him and his team to wear the lead coverings.

So a senior official takes the hit for a cover-up intended to deceive the public into thinking that radiation levels were lower than they really were at the Fukushima plant. When asked to explain what he was thinking when he made this decision, he offers up senseless explanations that make no sense, and insists that he was the only one involved, for some unknown reason. Suspicious? You be the judge.

[NaturalNews] Radioactive waters from the Fukushima disaster now buffet the coasts of North America. We have known since 1987 – when in the 8 months following Chernobyl, a 245% to 900% increase in infant mortality was observed in the northern coastal areas of the US – that out-of-control radiation leaks are a proven worldwide problem.

What we also know is immediate crises, such as the radioactivity from Fukushima, only add to the literal sea of continual radiation exposure.

We are exposed to “routine” nuclear medical equipment leaks, checkpoints with full-body scans, nuclear submarine crashes, depleted uranium ammunition fallout, mammograms, CT scans, x-rays, radioactive-contaminated tobacco smoke, microwave ovens, food irradiation accidents, and more.

To share a few examples:

• Nuclear mishaps and accidents – Over a 15-year study, ending in 1985, there were 151 significant nuclear accidents in 14 western countries with a total of over 2,7000 mishaps at nuclear plants.
• X-rays – Dr. Alice Stewart, a recognized world authority on nuclear epidemiology, discovered that women exposed to diagnostic X-rays during pregnancy had offspring with two times the likelihood of developing leukemia as did children who had not been exposed in utero.
• Cigarette smoke – Cigarette smoke contains and gives off the radioactive particles radium 226, which is found in phosphate fertilizers used in commercial tobacco farming; polonium 210, lead 210, which are breakdown products from radium 226; and potassium 40.

Our big picture is not just surviving the immediate Fukushima crisis, but protecting ourselves and our families from the cumulative daily radiation dangers that build up over a long period of time.

My radiation protection approach is built on six principles:

I. Selective uptake

If one has enough minerals in the system, the cells become saturated with healthy minerals. Once cellular mineral saturation occurs, there is less opportunity for radioactive minerals to be absorbed into the system.

II. Chelate

Certain foods actively draw the radioactive materials to them and pull them out of the body via the bowel and kidney excretion process. The kelp family of sea vegetables are highest in the natural chelator, sodium alginate. Work by J.F. Sara at the Environmental Toxicology Laboratory of the EPA, and A. Huag, as reported in The Composition and Properties of Alginates, show that alginates bind other metal pollutants, such as excess barium, lead, plutonium, cesium and cadmium. Use kelp (5-10 tablets) for chelating I-131, anduse dulse for chelating plutonium. Obviously, make sure your sea vegetables come from as safe an ocean source as possible.

III. Increase your antioxidant intake

Keeping the body high in antioxidant nutrients and enzymes will nullify the free radicals created by the radiation exposure.

Dangerous levels of Fukushima radiation headed for West Coast, say scientists

[NaturalNews] In the immediate wake of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster that occurred in Japan last year, radioactive releases of epic proportions flooded the waters of the Pacific Ocean, where they now flow adrift. And even though more than a year has passed since the time of the first releases, some scientists believe the worst is yet to come as these water-borne radioactive plumes head for the U.S. West Coast.

Russia Today (RT) reports that a team of scientists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration‘s (NOAA) Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory recently constructed some models designed to assess the impact of Fukushima radiation over the longer term. To do this, they simulated ocean currents in the Pacific, and evaluated how radiation would both disperse and travel.

They discovered that, within the next few years, the worst of Fukushima’s radiation releases will make its way across the Pacific and hit the American coastline. So-called “packets” of radiation are also expected to continue forming as the larger plumes travel via the ocean currents, which could result in highly radioactive waves of ocean water striking West Coast beaches in the very near future.

“Within one year, it will have spread over the entire western half of the North Pacific, and in five years we predict it will reach the U.S. West Coast,” says Claus Boning, co-author of the study, about the Fukushima radiation releases. “The levels of radiation that hit the U.S. coast will be small relative to the levels released by Fukushima. But we cannot accurately estimate what those levels will be because we do not know for certain what was released by Fukushima.”

Leaked – Fukushima clean-up crews covered up true radiation readings

And the world may never know just how much radiation was, and potentially continues to be, released by Fukushima, as a recently leaked recording verifies that Fukushima plant workers were encouraged to lie about radiation readings at the plant. According to RT, clean-up workers were given lead boxes which they were told to use as “shields” to block radiation readings in order to make them appear lower than they really were.

This obviously insinuates that radiation readings were far higher at the Fukushima plant than the world was told they were, and that these levels more than likely far exceeded the maximum exposure levels considered to be safe for plant workers. The company accused of the cover-up, Build-up, later admitted that workers were encouraged to wear these deceptive radiation shields.

Why Are So Many Bad Things Happening To America?

Have you ever wondered why things have been going so badly for the United States in recent years?  Our economy is falling apart, we have been plagued with heat, drought and endless natural disasters, our cities are absolutely crumbling, we just keep getting involved in even more wars and Americans are more anxious and more overweight than ever before.  So why are so many bad things happening to America?  Why do we lead the world in so many bad categories?  Why does nothing seem to be going right?  Are we under some kind of a curse?  It is almost as if we have entered a “perfect storm” that just keeps getting worse.  In the old days it would seem like something bad would happen to the United States every once in a while, but now massive problems seem to be hitting us in rapid fire fashion.  At this point, many Americans have “crisis fatigue” because our problems never seem to end.  Each new crisis just seems to overlap with all of the other problems that are still going on.  So why is this happening, and what is our country going to look like if our problems continue to multiply at this rate?

The following are some of the bad things that are happening to America right now….

Heat And Drought

This summer, thousands of new high temperature records have been set all over the country, and weather conditions are much drier than normal in most of the nation.

In fact, the drought that we are experiencing right now is being called the worst drought in more than 50 years.  More than 1,000 counties in the United States have already been declared to be official disaster areas, and there is no end to the drought in sight.

All over America this drought is killing the corn and this is causing the price of corn to soar.  The following is from a recent Financial Post article….

Chicago Board of Trade corn for December delivery has soared 54% since mid-June, reaching a contract high of US$7.78 on Monday and approaching its record price near US$8.

Soybeans for November delivery soared to a new contract high of US$15.97 before slipping back a few cents.

Crop watchers were alarmed that corn rated poor-to-very poor jumped to 38%, versus 30% last week and 11% a year ago.

The record high for the price of corn is just $7.99 a bushel.  Many believe that the price of corn will soon blow well past that price and could eventually reach $10 a bushel.

Unfortunately, there is not much hope on the horizon.  It is being projected that these very hot and very dry conditions will persist well into August.

Wildfires

The extreme heat has also been responsible for an unusual number of wildfires in the western United States this year.  The recent horrific wildfires in Colorado made headlines all over the nation.

Sadly, these wildfires are part of a rising trend.  The truth is that the 6 worst years for wildfires in the United States ever recorded have all happened since the year 2000.

So what is causing this to happen?

What is causing so much of the country to go up in flames?

Tornadoes

Earlier this year, many areas of the heartland of America were absolutely ripped to shreds by very powerful tornadoes.

More tornadoes happen in the United States than anywhere else in the world, and unfortunately we have seen a tremendous amount of tornado activity in this country in recent years.

In 2009, there were 1146 tornadoes in the United States.

In 2010, there were 1282 tornadoes in the United States.

In 2011, there were 1691 tornadoes in the United States.

Overall, 2011 was the worst year for natural disasters in U.S. history.

So where will 2012 rank when everything is all said and done?

Fukushima

Radiation from the Fukushima nuclear disaster will be affecting Americans for many years to come.

Most Americans do not think much about Fukushima anymore, but the truth is that Fukushima is still putting out a tremendous amount of radiation, and that radiation travels eastward towards us.

A couple of months ago, one reporter discovered that radiation levels in rain falling on Los Angeles were five times above normal.

But we don’t hear about this in the mainstream media, do we?

One recent study concluded that the highest concentration of Fukushima radiation in the Pacific Ocean will eventually be just off the west coast of the United States.

But our “authorities” tell us that there is no reason to be concerned, so most Americans will continue to ignore the incredible tragedy that continues to unfold at Fukushima.

If you are not sure what to think about what is going on at Fukushima, perhaps the following statistic will get your attention….

Recent tests have shown that 36 percent of all children living in the Fukushima Prefecture in Japan have abnormal growths on their thyroid glands.  After the Chernobyl disaster, less than 2 percent of all children living in the area surrounding Chernobyl were found to have abnormal growths on their thyroid glands.

Economic Collapse

The last recession was the worst economic crisis that America has faced since the Great Depression, and our economy has never even come close to recovering from it.

Now we are on the verge of another global financial meltdown that appears likely to be even worse than the last one.

Peter Schiff, the president of Euro Pacific Capital, says that the U.S. economy is headed for a crisis that will make the recession of 2008 and 2009 look like a walk in the park.

So what is going to happen if the economy goes into the toilet and unemployment skyrockets much higher than it is now?

That is frightening to think about.

Poverty Explosion

Even during this “economic recovery”, poverty in America continues to soar.

For example, since Barack Obama has been president the number of Americans on food stamps has risen from 32 million to 46 million.

Overall, 49 percent of all Americans live in a home where at least one person receives benefits from the federal government according to the U.S. Census Bureau.  That is an all-time record high.

36 Percent Of Fukushima Children Have Abnormal Growths From Radiation Exposure

The shocking numbers come from the thyroid examination section of the “Sixth Report of Fukushima Prefecture Health Management Survey,” published by Fukushima Radioactive Contamination Symptoms Research (FRCSR) and translated by the blog Fukushima Voice.  

Shunichi Yamashita, M.D., president of the Japan Thyroid Association, sent a letter to members in January with guidelines for treating thyroid abnormalities. In 2001 Yamashita co-authored a study that found normal children in Nagasaki to have 0 percent nodules and 0.8 percent cysts.

The introduction of the letter, written by Fukushima Voice, states that the results in Fukushima show a “much faster progression compared to Chernobyl” as research done around Chernobyl showed the rate of thyroid nodules in children 5 to 10 years after the accident to be 1.74 percent.

In March 2011 a massive earthquake triggered a tsunami that led to series of nuclear meltdowns and releases of radioactive materials at the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant, leading to the largest nuclear disaster since Chernobyl in 1986.

The introduction of the letter notes that Australian pediatrician Helen Caldicott said that is “not at all normal for children to have thyroid nodules or cysts” and that “early appearance of thyroid abnormalities, less than one year, meant the children received a very high dose of radiation.“

A Single Piece of Radioactive Food Is Comparable to ‘Hundreds of X-Rays’

As you likely are aware, x-ray imaging scans have increasingly been linked in peer-reviewed scientific literature to an increased risk of cancer — particularly in children. Dental x-rays, for example, have actually been linked to a twofold increase in brain cancer. It is therefore quite shocking to consider a new report which states that radioactive food (food contaminated with radiation from Fukushima or others sources) consumption is comparable to receiving hundreds of x-rays.

Radioactive Food Could be ‘Hundreds of X-Rays’

Furthermore, research conducted by a prominent doctor also draws a relationship between radioactive food and the occurrence of birth defects. Prestigious physician, geneticist, and professor Dr. Wladimir Wertelecki conducted research back in 2010 regarding the relationship between contaminated food and birth defects. Now, years later, the professor is now speaking out over the serious impact of the Chernobyl and the Fukushima-Daiichi disasters.

In fact, a single mushroom eaten in an area affected with radiation contamination could be similar to receiving ‘hundreds’ of tumor-linked x-ray scans. To illustrate this radioactive food issue, Wertelecki’s report states:

“ One mushroom eaten in affected areas may deliver as much radiation as hundreds of chest x-rays.”

What’s more, Wertelecki is highlighting concerns over how officials are essentially treating citizens like ‘idiots’ and withholding the true extent to which the disasters could be affecting the health of the globe. During a scientific gathering at the University of South Alabama, Wertelecki stated:

“It is not the scale of a nuclear accident itself that makes a human disaster it is the response by officials afterward and the public panic produced. The public should not be treated as idiots and told only the ‘good half’ of the story, as is often done by official agencies. People have the right to know, the need to believe those who are in charge.”

Fukushima radiation levels have already been confirmed to exceed 2 1/2 times the amount officials had originally admitted to, and a surprisingly large amount of the radioactive cesium is now known to have deposited into the Pacific. Seafood, milk, meat products, and many other items are now subject to the extreme contamination risk posed by Fukushima, and the risk is very real to adults and children alike.

Southern California seaweed tests over 500 percent higher for radioactive iodine-131 than anywhere else in US

[NaturalNews] High levels of radiation from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster reached Pacific shores just days after the catastrophe occurred, according to a recent study published in the journal Environmental Science & Technology. Tests conducted on samples of Macrocystis pyrifera, also known as Giant kelp, revealed the presence of radioactive iodine-131 at levels 500 percent higher in Southern California than in any other area of the country tested.

Based on data collected from several different test sites, researchers from the California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) Department of Biological Sciences learned that the highest levels of radioactive contamination from Fukushima occurred in Central and Southern California. But the worst contamination of all, at least as far as iodine-131 is concerned, was found at Southern California’s Corona Del Mar Beach.

According to the figures, samples of Giant kelp pulled from the Santa Cruz area revealed 2.0 becquerels per gram dry weight (Bq/gdwt) of radioactive iodine-131, which can also be written as 2,000 becquerels per kilogram (Bq/kg) of radiation. At Corona Del Mar, however, levels of radioactive iodine-131 were discovered at 2.5 Bq/gdwt, or 2,500 Bq/kg.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s established maximum contaminant level (MCL) for radioactive iodine-131 in milk is a mere 170 Bq/kg. This is the same maximum level established by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for radioactive iodine-131 in food. (http://fukushimafaq.wikispaces.com/Radiation+Allowable+Levels)

This means that the levels of radioactive iodine-131 found in seaweed off the coast of Southern California in the days following the Fukushima disaster were nearly 15 times higher than these established maximums for food, an important fact that was not reported to the public at that time.
