A large facet of people have heard the axiom: “You are what you eat.” How many people actually take it to heart though?

Americans keep getting sicker and sicker every day, even though spending into the medical structure has vaunted to unheard levels.

By in large, one big reason why there has been an increase in disease is because of their consumption of Trans Fatty Acids within the Standard American Diet, which prompts many issues.

A sinister trick employed by companies is the fact that even though a product can be labelled trans-fat free, corporations can infuse up to 0.5 grams of trans-fats per serving.1 Deceitfulness is everywhere, definitely. One more way in which corrupt corporations pull a bait and switch.

Another fantastic example of this is how companies keep calling foods at the store natural that happen to be genetically modified. In fact, if this food truly were real they would be thus labelled organic and not the former.

The main reason why people should not consume trans-fats are because they are alien to the human body.

If that is not much of an impetus for those unconcerned about their health, trans-fats have also been linked to not only inflammation, but also cell damaging free radicals.2 For those that don’t know, free radicals can lead to cancer.3 That goes without saying, the with increased amounts of trans fats eaten cellular destruction rises there in effectively harming tissues and organs increasing the occurrence of disease.4

Being an unsaturated fats, trans-fats also engage in the suppression in the immune system5, which also leads to onset of disease.

There are a variety of cooking oils, and many of them are healthy. The one at the apex is Coconut Oil though.

Due to its high saturated fat content, coconut oil is “the least vulnerable of all dietary oils to oxidation and free-radical formation and therefor is safest to use in cooking.”6[Fife, Pg. 30]  Another great aspect of coconut oil is its preventative properties in respect to heart disease.

Due to its differing nature from oils found in common foods, coconut oils are nigh burned immediately as energy and they are not transformed into fat.8

Some of the viruses coconut oil has been able to mitigate are HIV, herpes, measles, influenza, various pathogenic bacteria and protozoa such as giardia lamblia.10

There are many other aspects of coconut oil that make it a go-to food in the kitchen.

With such a wide repertoire of benefits, especially when compared to other oils, coconut oil should be considered for implementation as a staple in people’s diets.

It’s just one of the many things people can do to take back their health, and stop diseases in its tracks.

GMO equals short term profits and shorter human life

Pesticide is now growing inside of the most popular vegetation, thanks to the last two decades of “Ag-science,” (agricultural science) figuring out how to engineer toxic pest killers as part of the plants’ genetic makeup. Now, thanks to plant immunity to RoundUp pesticide, at least five to ten times more pesticide is dumped onto the vegetation as it grows in America’s fields. This means fewer worms, fewer insects, and fewer turtles and rabbits eating away at the plants, which means higher profits for “sell out” farmers and the contributing corporations. Or does it? Human beings can’t eat pesticide or we get cancer, and so as we do “EAT CANCER,” huge pharmaceutical firms prosper, and it just further assists them in running the country, the politicians, Western Medicine and the mainstream media. It’s becoming very difficult to find any soy which is truly organic. Most soy in America is genetically modified, processed, and causes extreme health detriment. Do you drink soy milk because you’re trying to avoid dairy? Switch to almond milk or rice milk right away. Why? Soybeans contain HAEMGGLUTININ, which is a clot promoting substance that causes red blood cells to clump together. This is what leads to strokes. Also, soy beans contain natural toxins or “anti-nutrients” and are considered enzyme inhibitors, because they block the action of trypsin and other enzymes that humans need for protein digestion. These can produce serious gastric distress and cause chronic deficiencies in amino acid uptake. In test animals, they cause enlargement of pathological conditions of the pancreas, including cancer.

Soy consumption also increases estrogen. Research shows that hamsters fed with GM soy were unable to have offspring and suffered a high mortality rate. Scientists Draw Link Between Vitamin D and Breast Cancer, Reducing Risk by 24%

Scientists have found a promising link between vitamin D and breast cancer, with the vitamin shown to reduce breast cancer risk. However, they say their findings only apply to vitamin D in supplement form, according to Reuters.

Researchers found that women who consumed vitamin D in a pill had a 24 percent lower risk of developing breast cancer. But those who got their vitamin D in their food didn’t see the same results. While they don’t say why they think this is, it could be because those using supplements are simply getting more of the vitamin on a daily basis.

The study, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, looked at 3,101 breast cancer patients and 3,471 health women, analyzing their diet and supplementation habits. There was no link established between dietary vitamin D consumption (or calcium consumption) and breast cancer. The link was only obvious in women taking more than 400 IU (international units) of vitamin D every day.

The researchers say more work is needed to determine exactly how much vitamin D is needed and to determine how it works. However, we do know that breast tissue cells have receptors for vitamin D, “raising the possibility that the nutrient could help regulate the division and proliferation of these cells.” And while the researchers don’t draw a connection between vitamin D and breast cancer when the vitamin comes from food sources, including the vitamin in a diet for breast cancer patients via foods naturally rich in vitamin D in addition to supplementation will only boost prevention.

Interestingly, the research gives no attention to getting vitamin D from the sun. It’s estimated that the body of the average light-skinned person creates about 20,000 IU of vitamin D3 (the most concentrated form) after one 30-minute, total body exposure to the summer sun at noon. In a darker skin person, the amount of D3 produced is about 10,000 IU.

You don’t need to sunbathe for hours to accumulate vitamin D, but getting outside for some sunshine during the day will increase the body’s natural creation of vitamin D, providing a wealth of vitamin D health benefits that could even reduce your risk of cancer.

Accused Batman shooter was seeing ex-Air Force psychiatrist before massacre

[NaturalNews] Newly uncovered documents have revealed that James Holmes, the man who is being accused of murdering 12 people in cold blood and injuring 58 others at a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colorado, on July 20, had apparently been seeing a psychiatrist prior to the tragic massacre. The U.K.’s Independent reports that 24-year-old Holmes had been under the care of Dr. Lynne Fenton, a psychiatrist at the University of Colorado (CU) who is also a member of the campus threat assessment team.

The information surfaced after Holmes’ attorneys filed a court order with an Arapahoe County district judge petitioning for prosecutors to turn over information about the contents of a package Holmes allegedly sent to Dr. Fenton in recent weeks. Reports indicate that the package, when discovered, was quickly confiscated by authorities, and the content kept under wraps. But because Holmes was a patient of Dr. Fenton, his attorneys are petitioning to have his private communications with her handed over to them and protected from exploitation.

During this time, various media sources have been leaking details about the supposed contents of the box, as well as a second box that Holmes allegedly sent. According to a recent Fox News report; for instance, one of the packages allegedly contained a notebook with drawings that outlined the plan for the massacre. A supposed “unnamed law enforcement source close the investigation” said the notebook, the existence of which has not been confirmed, contained images of stick figures shooting other stick figures.

But since Judge William Sylvester, who is presiding over the case, has issued a gag order on the case, none of this information can be confirmed or denied, and is merely conjecture. Those leaking it are also jeopardizing Holmes’ rights to due process and a fair trial by an unbiased jury by injecting potentially false notions about his behavior, which in turn casts him in the light of being guilty until proven innocent. And this is not, of course, how the American legal system is supposed to operate.

In response to the defense filings, prosecutors in the case have dubbed the leaked information as “factual errors,” and say that the law enforcement sources, at least the ones referenced by Fox News, are wholly “fake.” Because of the gag order, mainstream media sources are essentially free to report whatever they feel like reporting since authorities are not at liberty to confirm or deny any of it, which is turning the entire case into an overblown media circus.

Meanwhile, since the revelation concerning Holmes’ consultations with Dr. Fenton emerged, CU has greatly modified Dr. Fenton’s personal biography webpage, after removing it for several days. The school appears to have scrubbed the fact that Dr. Fenton had been reprimanded on several occasions for prescribing psychotropic drugs without valid prescriptions, some of which Holmes allegedly admitted he was taking at the time of his arrest outside the Century 16 theater.

Google complies with FDA demands to secretly disable Adwords accounts of nutritional detox companies

[NaturalNews] The latest attack on free speech in America comes from the FDA and is supported by Google Adwords. NaturalNews has learned that the FDA is quietly, and without notice to affected companies, commanding Google to disable the full Adwords accounts of nutritional supplement companies offering “detox” or “chelation” nutritional products.

This secret war against nutritional supplement companies is being waged entirely outside the law, as the FDA gives no notice to affected companies and does not give them any opportunity to respond in their defense. No judge, no jury, no notice, no due process. The FDA simply bypasses legal notice requirements and goes straight to Google, which complies by disabling Adwords accounts, shutting off an important source of revenue for nutritional supplement companies.

An economic embargo ordered by the FDA and obeyed by Google Adwords

This action is just the latest round in the FDA’s war on nutritional supplement companies, which have been subjected to armed raids, threatening warning letters, product seizures, and even international kidnapping by the FDA itself (http://www.naturalnews.com/027750_Greg_Caton_FDA.html).

In this case, the FDA is conducting an economic embargo on the company known as Global Healing Center (www.GlobalHealingCenter.com), founded by Ed Group III. Ed Group’s company has been a long-time advertiser with Google Adwords, using the service to not only bring Google hundreds of thousands of dollars each year in revenue, but more importantly to help reach people with high-quality nutritional products that are revered throughout the industry for their safety, potency and efficacy.

None of this seemed to matter to Google Adwords, which shuttered his entire account without notice, then claimed the FDA told them to do so (see below).

We tried contacting Google to see why our account had been blocked, but it wasn’t until July 27th (almost a month later) that we received the answer below.”

Neotame the next aspartame? FDA doesn’t require labeling of chemical sweetener created by Monsanto

And while Monsanto was the original creator of neotame back when it owned the NutraSweet Company, J.W. Childs Equity Partners II, L.P. today owns the NutraSweet Company, which includes ownership of neotame as well.

It could be lurking in the foods you eat every single day and you would never even know it. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has declared that one of Monsanto’s creations, a synthetic sweetener chemical known as neotame, does not have to be labeled in food products, including even in organic food products.

A modified version of aspartame with even more added toxicity, neotame received quiet and unassuming FDA approval back in 2002, even though no safety studies have ever been conducted on the chemical (http://www.neotame.com/pdf/neotame_fda_US.pdf). In fact, an investigation conducted by Feingold.org found only four studies relating to neotame in the MEDLINE database.

Two of these “studies” were not studies at all, and the other two were actually one duplicate study conducted by NutraSweet, the company that produces and sells neotame.

So just like with aspartame, the FDA has once again approved for use a dangerous sweetener chemical that metabolizes into formaldehyde when consumed. Except this time, the chemical contains added 3-dimethylbutyl, which the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has listed as one of the most hazardous known chemicals, and it does not have to be labeled on any of the products to which it is added.

“Neotame has similar structure to aspartame — except that, from it’s structure, appears to be even more toxic than aspartame,” writes HolisticMed.com on its page about neotame. “Like aspartame, some of the concerns include gradual neurotoxic and immunotoxic damage from the combination of the formaldehyde metabolite (which is toxic at extremely low doses) and the excitotoxic amino acid” (http://www.holisticmed.com/neotame/toxin.html).

The FDA, the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA), and the World Health Organization (WHO) all consider neotame to be safe for use, despite the fact that WHO actually published a paper seeking to establish acceptable daily intake levels for neotame. If neotame is so safe that it does not even have to be labeled, according to the FDA, then why do acceptable daily intake levels have to be established? And what is the point of establishing them in the first place?

This dog and pony show of special interest regulatory corruption is a travesty that will have global negative health consequences. Like most other toxins added to foods, neotame will most likely cause chronic damage over a long period of time, which means mainstream health authorities will get away with never having to admit that neotame is a dangerous toxin.

“The results show a positive link between GE corn and obesity. Animals fed a GE corn diet got fatter quicker and retained the weight compared to animals fed a non-GE grain diet. The studies were performed on rats, mice, pigs and salmon, achieving the same results.

… Researchers found distinct changes to the intestines of animals fed GMOs compared to those fed non-GMOs. This confirms other studies done by US researchers. Significant changes occurred in the digestive systems of the test animals’ major organs including the liver, kidneys, pancreas, genitals and more.”

Their findings (which were published July 11, 2012 in Norway by Forskning.no, an online news source devoted to Norwegian and international research3) showed that animals fed genetically engineered Bt corn ate more, got fatter, and were less able to digest proteins due to alterations in the micro-structure of their intestines.

They also suffered immune system alterations. The impaired ability to digest proteins may be of particular concern as this can have far-reaching implications for your health. If your body cannot digest proteins, your body will be less able to produce amino acids, which are necessary building blocks for proper cell growth and function.

“This not only may relate to a rise in obesity, but to increases in many modern diseases. These diseases include diabetes, digestive disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, colitis, autism spectrum disorders (ASD) (ADD), autoimmune diseases, sexual dysfunction, sterility, asthma, COPD and many more.

…[Lead author] Professor Krogdahl explains: “It has often been claimed that the new genes in genetically modified foods can’t do any damage because all genes are broken down beyond recognition in the gut. Our results show the contrary; that genes can be taken up across the intestinal wall, is transferred to the blood and is left in the blood, muscle and liver in large chunks so that they can be easily recognized… The biological impact of this gene transfer is unknown.”

Bt Toxin Found in Blood of Women and Fetuses

This is not the first time scientists have revealed significant biological impacts and related health problems as a result of eating a diet of genetically engineered foods. More often than not, unless the research is tainted by industry ties, studies into the effects of genetically engineered foods demonstrate that it is anything but safe. This isn’t so surprising when you consider that simple logic will tell you it’s probably not wise to consume a plant designed to produce its own pesticide, for example.

So-called “Bt corn” is equipped with a gene from the soil bacteria Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt), which produces Bt-toxin—a pesticide that breaks open the stomach of certain insects and kills them. This pesticide-producing corn entered the food supply in the late 1990’s, and over the past decade, the horror stories have started piling up.

Monsanto and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) swore that the toxin would only affect insects munching on the crop. The Bt-toxin, they claimed, would be completely destroyed in the human digestive system and would not have any impact on animals and humans. The biotech companies have doggedly insisted that Bt-toxin doesn’t bind or interact with the intestinal walls of mammals, and therefore humans.

The featured research proves all such claims false.

Prior findings have already shown that Bt corn is anything but innocuous to the human system. Just last year, doctors at Sherbrooke University Hospital in Quebec found Bt-toxin in the blood4 of:

  • 93 percent of pregnant women tested
  • 80 percent of umbilical blood in their babies, and
  • 67 percent of non-pregnant women

Bt-toxin breaks open the stomach of insects. Could it similarly be damaging the integrity of your digestive tract? If Bt-toxins can damage the intestinal walls of newborns and young children, the passage of undigested foods and toxins into the blood from the digestive tract could be devastating to their future health. Scientists speculate that it may lead to autoimmune diseases and food allergies. Furthermore, since the blood-brain barrier is not developed in newborns, toxins may enter the brain causing serious cognitive problems. Some healthcare practitioners and scientists are convinced that this one mechanism for autism.

If Bt genes are colonizing the bacteria living in the digestive tract of North Americans, we might expect to see an increase in gastrointestinal problems, autoimmune diseases, food allergies, and childhood learning disorders since the advent of Bt crops in 1996, and that’s exactly what’s being reported. For example, between 1997 and 2002 the number of hospitalizations related to allergic reactions to food increased by a whopping 265 percent. One out of 17 children now has some form of food allergy and allergy rates are rising.

Genetically Engineered Foods Trigger Adverse Immune System Responses

There’s plenty of evidence showing that the Bt-toxin produced in genetically modified Bt crops like corn and cotton plants is toxic to humans and mammals andtriggers immune system responses. For example, in government-sponsored research in Italy5, mice fed Monsanto’s Bt corn showed a wide range of immune responses, such as:

  • Elevated IgE and IgG antibodies, which are typically associated with allergies and infections
  • An increase in cytokines, which are associated with allergic and inflammatory responses. The specific cytokines (interleukins) that were found to be elevated are also higher in humans who suffer from a wide range of disorders, from arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease, to MS and cancer
  • Elevated T cells (gamma delta), which are increased in people with asthma, and in children with food allergies, juvenile arthritis, and connective tissue diseases.

Rats fed another of Monsanto’s Bt corn varieties called MON 863, also experienced an activation of their immune systems, showing higher numbers of basophils, lymphocytes, and white blood cells6. These can indicate possible allergies, infections, toxins, and various disease states including cancer. There were also signs of liver and kidney toxicity.

Harvard Study Finds Fluoride Lowers IQ

Fluoride is added to 70 percent of U.S. public drinking water supplies to aid in the prevention of cavities.

This benefit is dubious at best, as there is practically no difference in tooth decay rates between fluoridated and non-fluoridated countries, and no difference between states that fluoridate a high versus low percentage of their water.

Yet, while fluoride in drinking water does NOT decrease rates of tooth decay, numerous studies show that this chemical has a wide array of devastating health effects – one of them being lowered IQ.

Yet Another Study Links Fluoride to Lower IQ Levels

A review of brain studies involving the use of fluoride has concluded that one of the adverse effects of fluoride exposure on children is damage to their neurological development.1 According to the Harvard researchers, children who lived in high-fluoride areas had “significantly lower IQ than those in low fluoride areas,” with the authors noting:

“The results support the possibility of an adverse effect of high fluoride exposure on children’s neurodevelopment.“

This just adds to the growing number of animal and human studies demonstrating the damage fluoride inflicts on your brain, including your pineal gland. The results of one study looking at children’s intelligence in two towns – one with fluoridated water and one without – were particularly revealing, with about 28 percent of the children in the low-fluoride area scoring as “bright, normal or higher intelligence” compared to only 8 percent in the high-fluoride area.2

Further, 15 percent of children in the high-fluoride city had signs of mental retardation, compared with only 6 percent in the low-fluoride city. And the study even accounted for other potential variables, such as lead exposure, iodine deficiency or a history of brain disease or head injury. There have been over 23 human studies and 100 animal studies linking fluoride to brain damage.

New Research: Statins Increase Risk of Polymalgia Rheumatica 14-Fold

Few drugs are as toxic to the organ they are prescribed to “treat” as statins.  There are already hundreds of studies indicating that statin drugs are muscle-damaging (myotoxic) and nerve-damaging (neurotoxic), and yet they are somehow still legally allowed to be sold to millions of patients worldwide, ostensibly to protect the human heart —  which is, mind you, a muscle with an exceptionally high density of nerves.

Polymyalgia translates from the Greek  “pain in many muscles,” and rheumatic means “flux.” Published in the journal PLoS, researchers analyzed the World Health Organization’s Global Individual Case Safety Database, and found that of the 327 cases of PMR reported, ” statins were more frequently reported as suspected agent (29.4%) compared to non-cases (2.9%).”
