Government Lied About Pandemic Which Killed 50 Million People … Attempt to “Prevent Panic” Backfired
November 4, 2014
Governments Have Suppressed the Dangers of Epidemics Before, Only Making Things Worse
The mainstream American press has agreed – at the request of the government – not to report on suspected Ebola cases.
Let’s provide some context …
The U.S. National Academies of Science noted in 2005 (starting on the bottom of p. 64):
In the United States, national and local government and public health authorities badly mishandled the [1918 “Spanish Flu”] epidemic [which killed up to 50 million people worldwide], offering a useful case study.
The context is important. Every country engaged in World War I tried to control public perception. To avoid hurting morale, even in the nonlethal first wave the press in countries fighting in the war did not mention the outbreak. (But Spain was not at war and its press wrote about it, so the pandemic became known as the Spanish flu).
The United States was no different. In 1917 California Senator Hiram Johnson made the since-famous observation that “The first casualty when war comes is truth.” The U.S. government passed a law that made it punishable by 20 years in jail to “utter, print, write or publish any disloyal, profane, scurrilous, or abusive language about the government of the United States.”
One could go to jail for cursing or criticizing the government, even if what one said was true. A Congressman was jailed. Simultaneously, the government mounted a massive propaganda effort. An architect of that effort said, “Truth and falsehood are arbitrary terms…. There is nothing in experience to tell us that one is always preferable to the other…. The force of an idea lies in its inspirational value. It matters very little if it is true or false” (Vaughn, 1980).
The combination of rigid control and disregard for truth had dangerous consequences. Focusing on the shortest term, local officials almost universally told half-truths or outright lies to avoid damaging morale and the war effort. They were assisted—not challenged—by the press, which although not censored in a technical sense cooperated fully with the government’s propaganda machine.
Routinely, as influenza approached a city or town—one could watch it march from place to place—local officials initially told the public not to worry, that public health officials would prevent the disease from striking them. When influenza first appeared, officials routinely insisted at first it was only ordinary influenza, not the Spanish flu. As the epidemic exploded, officials almost daily assured the public that the worst was over.
This pattern repeated itself again and again. Chicago offers one example: Its public health commissioner said he’d do “nothing to interfere with the morale of the community…. It is our duty to keep the people from fear. Worry kills more people than the epidemic” (Robertson, 1918).
That idea—“Fear kills more than the disease”—became a mantra nationally and in city after city. As Literary Digest, one of the largest circulation periodicals in the country, advised, “Fear is our first enemy” (Van Hartesveldt, 1992).
In Philadelphia, when the public health commissioner closed all schools, houses of worship, theaters, and other public gathering places, one newspaper went so far as to say that this order was “not a public health measure” and reiterated that “there is no cause for panic or alarm.”
But as people heard these reassurances, they could see neighbors, friends, and spouses dying horrible deaths.
In Chicago, the Cook County Hospital mortality rate of all influenza admissions—not just those who developed pneumonia—was 39.8 percent (Keeton and Cusman, 1918). In Philadelphia, bodies remained uncollected in homes for days, until eventually open trucks and even horse-drawn carts were sent down city streets and people were told to bring out the dead. The bodies were stacked without coffins and buried in cemeteries in mass graves dug by steam shovels.
This horrific disconnect between reassurances and reality destroyed the credibility of those in authority. People felt they had no one to turn to, no one to rely on, no one to trust.

Ebola is difficult to diagnose when a person is first infected because the early symptoms, such as fever, are also symptoms of other diseases, such as malaria and typhoid fever and even common influenza. “The symptoms are extremely nonspecific in the beginning — Ebola looks like almost anything,” said Dr. Bruce Hirsch, an infectious-disease specialist at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York.
Enhanced Ebola screenings began Saturday at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport as authorities moved to ensure passengers potentially carrying the virus don’t make it into the United States. Anyone traveling from Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone will be singled out by Customs and Border Protection, who will take their temperature with a non-contact thermometer and ask them a series of questions.
The most common test for Ebola is the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. Unfortunately this test can be negative during the first three days an infected person has symptoms, said Dr. Sandro Cinti, an infectious-disease specialist at the University of Michigan Hospital System/Ann Arbor VA Health System. “Somebody could be in the hospital for three to five days before a diagnosis [of Ebola] is confirmed,” Cinti told Live Science. “The important thing is keeping the patient isolated until you can get to a diagnosis.”
We have already seen an entire cruise ship denied port because of one woman with the flu who ended up being negative for Ebola when tested. What are health and medical officials going to do when the flu season starts in earnest?

All of the new vaccines are DNA vaccines which contaminate normal human DNA with patented GMOs, just as Monsanto has been doing to organic fields with pollen drift.
The public has not been informed of this or given legal papers to release their intellectual property rights over their own unique DNA.
But under GW Bush, whose family is deeply connected to the biotech/pharmaceutical industry that put Hitler into office, laws were put in place that would use the military to force such vaccines, and with unknown content, on the entire population, under the pretext of a flu.
The following went into effect under George Bush:
‘During a pandemic, it may be necessary to overrule existing legislation or (individual) human rights. Examples are the enforcement of quarantine (overruling individual freedom of movement), use of privately owned buildings for hospitals, off-license use of drugs, compulsory vaccination or implementation of emergency shifts in essential services. These decisions need a legal framework to ensure transparent assessment and justification of the measures that are being considered, and to ensure coherence with international legislation (International Health Regulations). [Source]
Bush provided the pandemics laws that intersect with the WHO’s health regulations. Obama recently signed an executive order putting the US into alignment with international laws. The WHO has been the driver of covert sterilizing campaigns with vaccines around the world, and just threatened Pakistan for attempting to suspend Gates, WHO, and World Bank polio vaccines until the Pakistani government was sure the vaccines were safe and effective. The vaccines are causing mass paralysis there.
George Bush pushed through the pandemic laws in the US using the false fear that there would again be a pandemic like the 1918 flu pandemic. There was no flu pandemic in 1918. Millions died but they died because of the pharmaceutical industry’s “miracle drug,” aspirin, a highly toxic drug that can kill quickly when used in overdose, as well as a potent immunosuppressive which allowed common upper respiratory infections to deteriorate into deadly pneumonias. The millions of 1918-19 deaths are the result of pharmaceutical industry greed, and the collusion of government, medical authorities, military and corporations.
These same groups have gone many steps further under the Bush pandemic laws.
- They have mandated a highly toxic, immunosuppressive “treatment” in advance, to every person in the country.
- They have brought together government, military, medical “authorities,” and corporations in a financial arrangement.
- All liability has been removed.
- The vaccines themselves do not have to be tested (and thus not even known) in an emergency.
- Any emergency does not have to be proved.

Is there anything that green tea can’t do? A Japanese study found that consuming five cups of green tea each day could work to prevent the development of cancer. They say the study took place over a ten year period and found that green tea was remarkably effective in cancer prevention. Needless to say, the green tea and cancer relationship is certainly not a new one.
The Repeatedly Shown Relationship Between Green Tea and Cancer
The study analyzed consumption among 40,000 Japanese subjects, taking gender, age, lifestyle and health into consideration. Dr. Toru Naganuma of Tohoku University concluded drinking green tea may have a favorable prevention effect for “particular cancers.” Those who drank five or more cups were analyzed against those who drank less than a single cup of green tea daily. The study subjects’ health was also analyzed “in context of alcohol, soybean and fish consumption.”
What was found is that five cups of green tea each day could reduce the risk of lymph cancers by up to 48%, and blood cancers by 42%. Of course this isn’t the only research shedding light on the relationship between green tea and cancer.
Other findings also show how green tea can fight cancer cell growth by significantly reducing the number of lymphocytes.

If you are unfortunate enough to contract the flu, you can either let it run its course (with the help of natural solutions) or you can run to your doctor to receive a prescription drug treatment. These drugs—most often Tamiflu or Relenza— are designed to shorten the life of the flu virus within you. But as the influenza viruses evolve, the drugs are becoming less and less effective. Should you buy Tamiflu or other drugs to ‘treat’ the flu? To put it simply, no.
Buy Tamiflu for Flu Treatment? Think Again
Scientists are now working on a new type of flu treatment, using antibodies produced by the human body as a guide. The body creates antibodies to fight a flu infection, and these antibodies are the same no matter what flu strain you are infected with. Scientists are studying the effects of high levels of these antibodies in mice with a “normally lethal” dose of the flu virus and they say the results are promising.
“The ability of these antibodies to protect mice from highly lethal strains of influenza is promising,” said top researcher and flu expert Yoshihiro Kawaoka. “Such antibodies may be especially useful during outbreaks of newly emerging, highly pathogenic influenza viruses.”
The scientists treated mice with high concentrations of the antibodies and then infected them with deadly doses of H1N1 and H5N1 flu viruses. Sixty to 80 percent of those antibody-treated mice recovered, compared with only 10 percent of those not treated similarly.
Perhaps not surprisingly, a private corporation is behind the research. Theraclone identified these antibodies in humans and then paid the researchers to make large quantities of them and test them in mice. How much did they pay? According to Reuters, it was an $18 million job.
The race to find cures and valuable treatments is always on, but what motivates this race is rarely the wellbeing of all humankind, and instead the almighty dollar.
After all, drugs like this rarely benefit all humankind, just those with the money to afford them. A ten-day dose of Tamiflu, for instance, costs well over $100 and simply isn’t feasible for a growing number of Americans. The cost alone makes it not worth it to buy Tamiflu.
A drug like this could be enormously profitable for the company behind it. Think of how much money drug giants Roche AG and Gilead Sciences Inc. have made off of Tamiflu since its creation. A more powerful and effective drug would only be more profitable.
Wait a minute, don’t enough people get vaccinated—shouldn’t flu treatments be unnecessary? Well considering the growing disenchantment with vaccination programs and the fact that the flu vaccines, such as the H1N1 vaccine, aren’t only dangerous but also largely ineffective, there will always be plenty of room for overpriced flu medications to share the market with the vaccines.
Despite the price of the drug, individuals may still want to buy Tamiflu, but before considering the purchase, first know that there are many extremely inexpensive and natural solutions for protecting against and treating the flu.
Your immune system protects against the flu – not vaccines! Here are 9 ways to boost your immune system and prevent the flu. In addition to these 9 ways, start:
- Obtaining Vitamin D, whether it be from sun or supplements. Vitamin D can be 800% more effective than vaccines at preventing the flu and other ailments. Even low-dose Vitamin D can cut flu risk by nearly half.
- Drink green tea. Green tea has also been shown to cut flu risk when consumed at 1-5 cups per day.
- Consume turmeric or take a turmeric supplement. Turmeric health benefits range far and wide, with the spice being a fantastic overall immune booster and protector against illness and disease.

[NaturalNews] Taking vitamin D while still young may be good for the body in the long run. Results from a study conducted by the University of Zurich have confirmed that sufficient amounts of vitamin D taken consistently are necessary to maintain bone health.
Many people believe that maintaining healthy eating habits is enough, but only few foods naturally contain significant levels of vitamin D. According to Dr. Heike A. Bischoff-Ferrari, a faculty of UZH, in order to get adequate levels of vitamin D through diet alone, two servings of fatty fish like salmon or mackerel would have to be consumed every day. It is thus necessary to increase vitamin D levels in the body through sufficient sun exposure and supplementation in order to use the sunshine vitamin’s full potential for maintaining proper body functioning.
This misconception about maintaining D levels through diet does have a degree of ground since vitamin D is not a stand alone vitamin. To perform many functions, vitamin D works in cooperation with other vitamins like magnesium, which can be found in leafy green vegetables such as spinach. This unique characteristic of vitamin D has contributed to the management of many chronic illnesses.
The many faces of vitamin D
Decades ago, health care professionals thought vitamin D was only good for keeping healthy bones and teeth. Recent advances in science, however, have put this vitamin in the spotlight by revealing its multifaceted role in the proper functioning of the human body and its ability to lower the risk of illnesses not formerly associated with it.
Despite the recent revelations about the potential of vitamin D, it appears that not everyone appreciates this discovery. The current lifestyle of working indoors has contributed to the growing number of vitamin D deficiency cases worldwide. This is compounded by the fact that not everyone is aware that he or she may be vitamin D deficient.
Am I vitamin D deficient?
The best way to discover vitamin D deficiency is to take a blood test that will measure the level of the vitamin in your blood. You can either ask your doctor to administer the test or buy a home test kit do the test yourself. However, you are certainly vitamin D deficient if you have any of the following ailments, and you need to consult with your doctor regarding your preventive, as well as curative, options as soon as possible.
1.)The flu– In a study published in the Cambridge Journals, it was discovered that vitamin D deficiency predisposes children to respiratory diseases. An intervention study conducted showed that vitamin D reduces the incidence of respiratory infections in children.
2.)Muscle weakness– According to Michael F. Holick, a leading vitamin D expert, muscle weakness is usually caused by vitamin D deficiency because for skeletal muscles to function properly, their vitamin D receptors must be sustained by vitamin D.
3.)Psoriasis– In a study published by the UK PubMed central, it was discovered that synthetic vitamin D analogues were found useful in the treatment of psoriasis.
4.)Chronic kidney disease– According to Holick, patients with advanced chronic kidney diseases (especially those requiring dialysis) are unable to make the active form of vitamin D. These individuals need to take 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 or one of its calcemic analogues to support calcium metabolism, decrease the risk of renal bone disease and regulate parathyroid hormone levels.
5.)Diabetes– A study conducted in Finland was featured in Lancet.com in which 10,366 children were given 2000 international units (IU)/day of vitamin D3 per day during their first day of life. The children were monitored for 31 years and in all of them, the risk of type 1 diabetes was reduced by 80 percent.
6.)Asthma– Vitamin D may reduce the severity of asthma attacks. Research conducted in Japan revealed that asthma attacks in school children were significantly lowered in those subjects taking a daily vitamin D supplement of 1200 IU a day.
7.)Periodontal disease– Those suffering from this chronic gum disease that causes swelling and bleeding gums should consider raising their vitamin D levels to produce defensins and cathelicidin, compounds that contain microbial properties and lower the number of bacteria in the mouth.
8.)Cardiovascular disease– Congestive heart failure is associated with vitamin D deficiency. Research conducted at Harvard University among nurses found that women with low vitamin D levels (17 ng/m [42 nmol/L]) had a 67 percent increased risk of developing hypertension.
9.)Schizophrenia and Depression– These disorders have been linked to vitamin D deficiency. In a study, it was discovered that maintaining sufficient vitamin D among pregnant women and during childhood was necessary to satisfy the vitamin D receptor in the brain integral for brain development and mental function maintenance in later life.
10.)Cancer– Researchers at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington DC discovered a connection between high vitamin D intake and reduced risk of breast cancer. These findings, presented at the American Association for Cancer Research, revealed that increased doses of the sunshine vitamin were linked to a 75 percent reduction in overall cancer growth and 50 percent reduction in tumor cases among those already having the disease. Of interest was the capacity of vitamin supplementation to help control the development and growth of breast cancer specially estrogen-sensitive breast cancer.
Prevention is proactive
These various health conditions associated with vitamin D deficiency need not be something to fear. A proactive approach to prevention can assist in the avoidance of the many chronic diseases associated with vitamin D deficiency. For one, thousands of dollars can be saved, not to mention the peace of mind, simply at the cost of taking a walk under the sun. Save the umbrellas for the rainy days.
‘Science’ editor says he plans to publish controversial H5N1 avian flu study in defiance of government recommendations

By: Ethan A. Huff
[NaturalNews] For the past few months, the journals Nature and Science have been deliberating with both the research community and the U.S. government about how to handle the publishing of sensitive information about a militarized strain of H5N1 avian flu. The U.S. National Security Advisory Board for Biotechnology (NSABB), a group of scientists and government security officials, had recommended that the journals redact certain portions of the research several months ago, but Dr. Bruce Alberts, editor of Science, now says, in essence, that he is tired of waiting for a solution, and plans to publish the full findings very soon.
It was widely reported last fall that Dr. Ron Fouchier and his colleagues from Erasmus Medical Centre in the Netherlands had successfully created a virulent strain of H5N1 capable of transmitting between mammals, including between humans. The research, which was submitted to both Nature and Science for publishing, includes critical details about how the deadly strain was created, which many say represents a serious bioterrorism threat if it ends up in the wrong hands (http://www.naturalnews.com/034228_bioterrorism_flu_strain.html).
But many scientists and media talking-heads are insisting that scientists need access to this information right away in order to begin developing vaccines for H5N1, a job they apparently cannot do if all the details about the research are not published immediately. Advocates claim that publishing the full details is no big deal because they have already been widely circulated at meetings, seminars, and conferences. But this argument actually confirms the opposite, as there is no need to publish the full research “for the sake of science” if such research has already been widely disseminated.
Militarized H5N1 avian flu strain could kill billions of people, suggest researchers
Meanwhile, the public, one-third or more of whom could be wiped out by this unthinkably pernicious virus, has not been given a voice in the matter about what to do with the findings. It is questionable enough that the U.S. government has been warning about mutant H5N1 for years, only now to have it conveniently appear in a lab as part of deliberate “research” — but now the recipe for making the human-transmissible strain could become widely available to the public (http://www.huffingtonpost.com).
“The people to catch H5N1 flu so far tended chickens or worked with poultry closely enough that they were constantly exposed to the virus,” writes Lynn Klotz in a recent Huffington Post piece. “By contrast, the so-called 1918 flu virus that killed millions in the United States and a total of 50 million around the world was incredibly contagious among humans. But it killed only about two percent of those infected.”
“Imagine a new virus that combined the lethality of the H5N1 flu with the contagiousness of the 1918 pandemic strain. That is the scenario we may now be facing.”
